The almonds of the Douro Valley are unique, due to the weather conditions privileged to their growth and ripening. To preserve their DNA, we just coughed them in the oven and bathe them one by one on a fine sugar and less sweet than traditional sugar.
Sereno & Fonseca, a former Frutas Doces factory, founded in 1919, is the oldest Factory of Plums in Elvas still working, remaining faithful to the traditional manufacturing process and the original recipe.
Presented in small jars of 500 g, the plums in syrup, are packed together with the original syrup, and can be served as a dessert to accompany various types of cake such as the famous Sericaia for example. Even after the packaging is opened, the fruits are kept well in a fresh environment for a few weeks.
